2005 WS Zinfandel

2005 was not that long ago, but the bottle age was very (positively) evident when Cath and I opened this last night. We were using the jumbo tasting glasses my sister Edie sent us last Christmas (that you can get your whole face in) and the nose almost made me want to sniff more than drink. However the taste was also great, with the youthful fruitiness mellowed and more complex aged red flavors joining the party. One of the best Zins I have had.
