Caldwell told us that his dad nearly had a heart attack running up one of the dunes last summer. I thought that sounded crazy until I saw this dune. This was the one and the picture doesn't even do it justice. This thing goes STRAIGHT DOWN and there is a big scary warning sign saying that climbing the hill is "extremely strenuous." I usually love that kind of a challenge but I took one look at this hill and said WILL! DO NOT EVEN THINK OF GOING DOWN THERE BECAUSE I AM NOT GOING TO BE ABLE TO HELP YOU GET BACK UP! It'd be hard enough to do by myself but carrying Lyra, that would be out of the question. I am so glad Will chose this one time to follow instructions.
