Various years we watch the 4
th of July
fireworks from different places. Most frequently from the
Iwo Jima Memorial. This year we talked about going down to the Mall, but with threats of rain and three kids to contain, we did not make it. We ended up driving to National Airport and heading to the top level of the parking garage. There were 50-100 other people who had the same idea, and it was really not a bad place from which to watch the show. It would not have worked for a picnic, but for quick in and out access (for $4) it was not bad. I brought a tripod, but had the exposure set wrong so the pictures are OK, but not as good as they could have been.
