We had dinner at the Palazzo di Colonna on Wednesday night. The galleries are open to the public on Saturdays and for private events. It has been the private residence of the Colonna family for centuries.I have never seen anything as opulent as this and the religious buildings we have visited here. Where those columns are, there are a few marble steps, one of which has a cannonball embedded in it. Unfortunately, I could not find anyone who could tell me the story behind that!
